fine pedigree raised in Hidaka
National route 236 connecting Urakawa-cho of Hidaka and Hiro o-cho of Tokachi, popularly called, Tenma Kaido, stretches through Hidaka Mountains known as the spine of Hokkaido. It has Hokkaido's longest 4,232m Nozuka Tunnel and the beautiful Erimo National Park which took 23 years of setting.
East Stud, with 152 breeders from Eastern Hidaka areas established in 1991, incorporating Japanese and worldwide fine thoroughbreds, aims to keep its operation at a world level. Urakawa, with rich soil given by Hidaka Mountains, has been working to active high excellency in the 21st century.
